I Just Have To Say...

Everyone who knows me, knows that I love *NSYNC, more specifically JC. Oh JC Chasez...my world would be a much gloomier place. I mean my life is great and all, but JC gives me that extra little spark, boost, joy, smile, glee and sunshine in my days. I have been a fan of the guys for a very long time, since the beginning. JC has always had that extra little thing in his voice that I love. I could listen to him sing the ABC's and I would love it. I love the raw emotion that is in his voice and the expressions that he shows on his face when he sings. He is always very creative, he writes and produces. I was so excited when his solo CD came out. I bought it the day it came out of course, and I also had to replace it because I wore it out!! I have kept up with things that he has done throughout the years, so when America's Best Dance crew came on the scene and he was one of the judges...OH HAPPY DAY for me!! I watched every episode and sometimes even the reruns! Some would say I am obsessed, but it's not like I know his address or anything like that. I am just a dedicated fan...(I think because I justify it, that may classify me as obsessed...details, details!) I just enjoy his voice and his looks, I think he is so gorgeous. Of course I will be sharing some pictures on here for your viewing pleasure. I feel like this blog entry doesn't do him justice. Anyway, I was watching the newest episode of ABDC and when I would see JC on the screen or hear his voice, I would turn to Laura and say, "I love him. I just love him." He makes me smile and remember the old times when I was younger and life was a little simpler. It is so good to remember those good old days. When Jorden was a little tyke I had a poster of *NSYNC and it had a button that sang "Bye, Bye, Bye" when you pressed it. Jorden loved to push it. Then I would ask him, "What does *NSYNC sing?" and he would say "bye bye bye." It was the cutest thing. He also knew which one was JC and knew I liked him the best. I used to be one of those people who thought that it was so dumb when someone said "this artist, or band, or actor really inspires me..." I became one of those people soon after I feel in love with *NSYNC, and even more so when I fell in love with JC!! So this is my little dedication to JC, I hope you enjoy. Please no hater comments...this is my blog and I choose to write what I like in life.

You back? Okay that is great. See what I mean? He is amazing huh! His voice isn't the traditional voice, Jake's voice is raw, gruff, manly, and pretty sexy! His words are angelic and hopeful. His words just stuck in my soul. Something with his voice made me weep, He did a cover of "Bleeding Love" and I have heard that song a million times, love it! Jake sang it, he felt it, he shared it and I cried. The look on his face, the emotion in his eyes just evoked emotion in me. I really enjoy his real feelings and emotions that he shares with us. He makes me want to be creative and I feel inspired by his strength and determination. You should all take a listen to him, his words are amazing. Watch his video "For Someone" on YouTube and you will see what I am talking about.

Happy Birthday Mommy!!!

Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday Dear Mommy,
Happy Birthday to you!

Today is my mom's 55 birthday...oh I hope that she doesn't kill me for revealing her age...she is a very young 55 years! My mom has always been a fun loving good mom. Some of my most favorite memories with my mom thus far:

  • Taking random road trips spontaneously. My mom would decide that it was time for a road trip and we were off. It would usually start off with a legit reason and then we would just be gone. I remember when Laura was about to graduate from High School and my mom and I decided that I wanted to be there so we left. Driving with my mom is the best. She listens to the same music every road trip, and I love it. Marty Robbins, George Strait, and sometimes classic rock and oldies. Anytime I hear, "Out in the West Texas town of El Paso I fell in love with a Mexican girl. Night-time would find me in Rosa's Catina; Music would play and Felina would whirl." I think of many times driving on the long open road to some destination that would become another memory that I love to recall. Many, many fun moments have happened inside of one of the many cars we took. "Brenda, are you ok?", "Here Lardy, lardy", "Te-Soar-Ro, Te-Sur-Row, Te-So-Ro, It's means TREASURE!" So many fun memories.
  • I love how creative my mom is, even though she will deny it, she is truly talented. She has crocheted so many doll clothes that are really detailed and take a lot of time. She has made many blankets and even barbie clothes. I think she has a lot of talent in being a patient and kind loving mom and grandma.
  • My mom has amazing faith. When I say amazing I mean it. My mom has always been active and no matter what life has thrown her, and it has thrown her a lot, she always knows that she can turn it over to our Father in Heaven and that He will take care of her and her loved ones. Anytime that I have struggled with anything she has told me that the Lord know what He is doing and that we should just have faith in His ability to take care of us. She has always shown that she loves and respects the gospel in her life and the lives of her loved ones. My mom has always been such a wonderful example in how to love people for who they are and not the choices they make. She is so kind and always willing to help out. I am so proud of my mom and how much she has taught me about life and being a good person.
  • My mom has American Spirit. She is so patriotic. I love how proud she is of our nation and that she in instilling a stronger sense of pride in me. Any time I hear a patriotic song I get chills and I think of my mom.
  • My mom has a really strong sense of family. I love that she has always tried to keep us close to our extended family. It is probably the reason Laura and I were able to become as close as we are. We would spend time together any time my mom would make a trip to Cali to visit Uncle Tom and the cousins. I love that we have had the family reunions that we have had. I have so many wonderful memories and family togetherness from those times.
Mom, thank you so much for all that you have done for me my whole life. I hope and pray that you know how much you really mean to me in my life. As I get older my love and admiration grows and grows for you. You have always taken care of me and shown me love and compassion. I know that life gets hard and we have rough times, but remember what you have always told me, the Lord will take care of you. Turn your burdens over to Him. I love you so much mom and wish that I could be there to celebrate this special birthday. Let me take one guess...you are crying huh?

I LOVE YOU MOM!

Maybe when I visit you we can start looking at the 55 and older communities for you! JK! Love you!!

Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday Dear Stevie,
Happy Birthday to YOU!!

So this is a typical picture that I am able to get of my little bro. It's either that or the top of his head, the side of his face, a close up of his hand...you get the point. He always dodges the camera! My little brother is a good guy. He is so good with all his nieces and nephews. He has a really good work ethic that I think he gets from our dad. It sounds like I am a personals add for my little bro...any takers?? Just kidding. Stevie you are the coolest little brother that I have and I am so thankful that you are in my life. Keep up the awesome poetry that you write. Happy Birthday and I love you!

Oh I found a few more pictures!!

Box Traditions...

So during the times that I have lived away from home, occasionally I have received boxes from my parents. I wish I had kept better record of what the contents of those boxes were. I remember one box had a garbage bag in it and some other random stuff. Recently my mom came to Oregon to get the Kicker (Suzuki Sidekick). She borrowed my cell phone to have on her trip back to Arizona. So after she got back she sent the phone back to me. I was expecting a pretty small box containing the phone and charger. Well here is was was in the box...

9 pennies,
1 $1 bill,
3 packets of instant oatmeal,
2 packages of popcorn,
3 books,
1 package of MRE Cherry flavored beverage.
Box from my parents: PRICELESS.

Oh I love my parents so much. They are two of the funniest people I know. My dad has an interesting sense of humor. I actually think that there is a term for it. I found it on the Internet when I was "stumbling". The term for it is called Lexophile. It means a lover of cryptic words. It happened to have a lot of the same jokes that my dad told us growing up.

More recently I received a "care package", not a Christmas box, from my parents. I knew something was up because everyday for about a week I would talk to my dad and he would ask if I had received my card or anything in the mail. One morning I did and it was delightful. I was so excited! I called him, but there was no answer...so I opened it anyway. Oh the cover it says to "rattle" oh the joys of hearing pennies rumble around among all the other goodies!
This box contained:
1 bag of random homemade cookies
3 bags of microwavable popcorn
1 can of peaches
1 packet of instant oatmeal
1 box of batteries
8 bendy straws
2 band aides
1 package of Oreo's
1 package of peanut butter crackers
1 small pocket knife
1 pen
1 mechanical pencil
4 granola bars
4 packets of MRE peanut butter
1 packet MRE strawberry jam
3 packets MRE bbq sauce
1 packet MRE picante sauce
3 packets MRE beverage powder
1 pair of chopsticks
2 pieces of Bazooka bubble gum
1 matchbook of matches, with 4 matches missing
a couple handfuls of kisses and candy corn
1 penguin waddle toy
1 fake $100 bill
2 penguin Christmas ornaments
5 nickels
9 pennies
1 $20 bill
some love notes!
and a priceless box of knowing my daddy loves and thinks of me!

I have decided that I will document and take photographs of any box I shall receive in the future from my parents. I love that my dad is totally random and has the sense of humor to bring a smile to my face when I think about a can of peaches or microwavable popcorn. Is it lame that I am totally crying right now thinking about how random my family is. I wouldn't trade any of them for the world. I am so glad that we all have grown up and have been able to love and care for each other. I think when I was younger I would have never thought that I would have so much love for my family. I love them all with all my heart and can't wait to see all of them soon. I miss you all so much and think of you daily! Till then,

I LOVE YOU!!!
