Happy 2nd Birthday Kloey!!!!

Happy Birthday Kloey!!! This is my beautiful niece Kloey. She just turned 2! Kloey has been such a blessing in my life. She means so much to our whole family. My brother, Mike, is her dad and he is such an amazing dad. I think he has waited the longest for Kloey! She is so beautiful and SMART!! I am so glad that Mike found Tiffany, Kloey's mom. Mike and Tiffany seem so happy together and I am glad that Mike has the opportunity to help raise Kloey. He has been a really good dad and example to his step-son Anthony. I know that he has so much love to give and is very hands on. I love seeing my brother grow and have a family.

I wish that I was around more when Kloey was born and wish that I was there now as she grows. I want her to know me like my other niece and nephew know me. I miss her. I have been able to spend some time with her. She is so smart and talks so well. She is also very beautiful. I love seeing pictures of her that show her personality. I wish that there was more that I could say about Kloey...but I don't know her very well. I just know that she is such a blessing in every body's lives!
I love you Kloey and can't wait to see you again. I hope that you have a wonderful birthday!!
Love Your Aunt B!!

Today is a Special Day...

Two Thousand One, Nine Eleven
Written by:

Two thousand one, nine eleven
Five thousand plus arrive in heaven
As they pass through the gate,
Thousands more appear in wait

A tall bearded man,
wearing a stovepipe hat
steps forward and greets them,
Then says, "Lets chat".

They settle down in seats of clouds
A man named Martin shouts out proud
"I have a dream!" and once he did
The Newcomer says, "Your dream still lives."

Groups of soldiers in blue and gray
Others in khaki, and green then say
"We're from Bull Run, Yorktown, the Maine"
The Newcomer says, "You died not in vain."

From a man on sticks one could hear
"The only thing we have to fear.
The Newcomer says, "We know the rest,
trust us sir, we've passed that test."

A man with a twang from New England shores
Then proclaimed in a voice they had all heard before
"Courage like yours does not hide in caves
You can't bury freedom, in a grave,"

A silence fell within the mist
Somehow the Newcomer knew that this
Meant time had come for her to say
What was in the hearts of the five thousand plus that day

"In the land of the living, we wrote reports,
Watched our children play in sports
Worked our gardens, sang our songs
Went to church and clipped coupons

We smiled, we laughed,
we cried, we fought
Unlike you, great we're not"

The tall man in the stovepipe hat
Stood and said, "don't talk like that!
Look at your country, look and see
You died for freedom, just like me"

Then, before them all appeared a scene
Of ruined streets and twisted beams
Death, destruction, rubble and dust
And people working just 'cause they must

Hauling ash,
lifting stones,
Knee deep in hell
But not alone

"Look! Blackman, whiteman, brownman, and yellow
Side by side helping their fellow!"
So said Martin, as he watched the scene
"Even from nightmares, can be born a dream."

Down below three firemen raised
The colors high into ashen haze
The soldiers above had seen it before
On Iwo Jima back in '44

The man on sticks studied everything closely
Then shared his perceptions on what he saw mostly
"I see pain, I see tears,
I see sorrow - but I don't see fear."

"You left behind husbands and wives
Daughters and sons and so many lives
are suffering now because of this wrong
But look very closely. You're not really gone.

All of those people, even those you've never met
All of their lives, they'll never forget
Don't you see what has happened?
Don't you see what you've done?
You've brought them together, together as one.

The man named Abe stood and said
"Welcome my friends," and from there he led,
five thousand Newcomers, all heroes to heaven
On this day of our Lord, two thousand one nine eleven.

A note to our visitors: We had posted this poem as soon as we received it in our E-mail. On November 17, 2001 we received an E-mail from Mark Buechler advising us who the author was with a copy of the original poem. We share a note with you from the author, Paul Spreadbury, written to Mark in response to his inquiry on whether Mr. Spreadbury was the author.

Hello Mark,

Yes, I did write the poem. I wrote it three days after the attack in response to my daughter's question regarding what, if any, value was derived from the death of all those people. I have had some folks with degrees in English, published writers and others write back with compliments and editorial suggestions. All are welcome and appreciated. I didn't write it for any reason other than to express my own personal feelings and I posted it in hopes that children (especially those most directly effected) would get some sense that ALL life has value and ALL life contributes to the continuation of the good. Anyway, the version you have is as I wrote it and I hope that you like it.

Thanks for writing and God Bless.

Paul Spreadbury

I am glad that I live in a free country and have men and women fighting for us to keep those rights. I hope you all will remember those who died and take a moment of silence for them. Life is busy and keeps moving on, let's just hope and pray we are heading the right way.

We Should All Learn To Stumble...

A little...Laura, my bestie, introduced a thing on the Internet to me. It is called "Stumble". I will add a link to it AFTER I finish my blog(so you will finish reading it!!). I have come across many sites that I would never think about, or even know existed before! I have found some pretty amazing things...
Such As...

http://oneword.com/
http://www.theonlinekaraokemachine.i12.com/
http://www.sketchswap.com/
http://www.howtofoldashirt.net/
http://oo22.com/fb/alright.html

These are just a few of some places I have "stumbled upon".
I like things like these because they seem to get my creative juices flowing. I know that this isn't the greatest blog entry...I have a couple of other ones that I am working on. Maybe in the next few days I will feel "creative" enough to finish the other ones.

Oh yeah, before I forget....

What I Need More of In My Life...

Lately I have noticed some things in my life that I NEED more of...

More accurately it should say Who, not what...details, details!
It has been about 4 months since I have seen Jorden and Kayla! And I am MISSING them SO MUCH my heart hurts!! I have been able to talk the kids quite often and still when we hang up I get sad. I even cry sometimes. I miss them so much.

The other day I was talking to Jorden and he was sad because we haven't seen each other and I told him that he will always have me in his life...

Me: "you are stuck with me for life, whether you like it or not."
Jorden: "That's okay, cause I love you so much."

It was the cutest thing and I felt so blessed for having this kid in my life. My Little Buddy, or Buckwheat are two of my favorite nicknames for him. From the moment we found out about Jorden I wanted to be called "Aunt B". He was my little man(even though he was technically my sisters!!) I spent so much time with him. I loved taking him places and spending time with him. Here are some things I love about Jorden...
1. He can make me smile whether he is 2 feet in front of me or 955 miles away...yeah I googled it! His smile is so cute and I could stare at it all day!
2. He is sensitive to people's feelings. He can tell if
you are sad or upset and he will walk up to you and give the biggest hug for no apparent reason...but he knows that you needed that hug!
3. He takes care of his little sister like no body's business. He
is really close with Kayla.
4. When he looks at me and sees who I am inside and he ge
ts a sparkle in his eye and he tells me he loves me. I know that my heart is about to burst open because I am filled with so much love for my Little Jorden.
5. How grown up he is getting. It's very bittersweet because I love watching him grow, but I miss the little tyke that didn't have a care in the
world.

I love You Jorden Turner! Don't ever forget that...not that I would let you anyway. I love you more than you will ever know!

Kayla is my little princess. She is 7 going on 17! I think we are always wondering what is going to come out her mouth next. She sure is witty and she knows it! Kayla has a variety of nicknames...Missy Moo, KK, Kakers, Kaker Baker. Kayla and I had a conversation over the phone...
Kay
la: "When do I get to see you again?"
Me: "Probably Christmas time."
Kayla: "How many months is that?"
Me: "3 months"
Kayla: "That will take forever!"
I love her so much. She is at the age where she is still learning all kinds of things and yet she is so smart. My mom told me a very cute story about Kayla. My parents were visiting Jorden and Kayla a couple of weeks ago and it had a been a full, long day. My dad said to my mom, "Someone is T-I-R-E-D..." (spelling out the word) and Kayla looks over at my dad and said, "I'm not tired!" Well I guess we can't use the spelling things method of communication anymore! She is such a character. She can mimic people singing and how they act..."That's So Raven" and "Hannah Montana"are two of her favorite.
Here are some things I love about Kayla...
1. She can make you laugh by just being herself, she is so witty and clever.
2. She is very confident in herself. She is very sure of who she is.
3. She can be very sensitive and loving at just the right moment. When her and I spend time alone she isn't always so showy...she relaxes a little. I love that about her.
4. She has the most gorgeous eyes and knows how to use them. She can be very charming.
5. I love how excited she gets when you see her after a long time. She clings to you and never wants to leave your side.

I love You Kayla LeAnne...You are so amazing and I am so glad that you are a part of my life. I love you more than you will ever know.

So yeah...I think I could use more of them in my life. I miss them so much! I can't wait to see them in the next few months. I also want to say that I am so thankful for the blogging world. It is such a fun way to keep up with people that are scattered all over. Thanks all for your dedication and upbeat way you all blog.

The awesome photo shop thing of Jorden, Kayla and I was made by Laura. She pretty much rocks!! I know that I am rambling, but this is a blog and I can do that! Til Next Time!!!
